Great with almost everything! I pour it on cakes, yogurt, cheesecake, ice cream, salads and in champagne. This is the sauce that keeps giving. It’s incredibly simple too.
All you need is to boil the following: 1 quart strawberries, hulled and sliced, about 1/4 cup of sugar and a 1/2 cup of water.
Once it’s boiled let it sit on low heat for about 20 minutes. The strawberries will lose their shape and appear mushy. Next, let it cool then puree the mixture in a blender. The result should be a saucy blend of fresh strawberry goodness.
The sauce will keep for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
